ACNH Custom Designs

I wanted to share a few of my custom designs that I made for my ACNH island Tansan as well as a few builds using them for inspiration! My designs were made for my korean beach town (city-core) island, although some designs (such as the window grills) are more broadly inspired by the style you see in Asia.

I found that keeping a small set of reliable basics that can be reused across different buildings, such as simple doors, windows, roof details and road details, help to manage the number of custom design slots used. That way you have more space for other things that bring the island together! Like shop signage or unique building details. I also found that keeping the structures small help to make the builds feel less monotonous or repetitive.

I personally love the sound of walking on the the in-game paths, so the simplicity of the floor designs allows for me to have a lot more space to hear my foot steps click clacking on the road! Please do visit my dream address to see how I've used the codes: DA-0488-2098-9558.

Simple Building (light version)

The Green tiled roof (MO-24YM-KM63-60DQ) is used to customize the Stall (dark brown). It pairs well with the Retro transportation stop, especially customized to Green or Gray. It has a similar color scheme to the Zen fence customized to green. 

The window grills, light glass version (MO-DTHX-HT0V-2116) work best with the Simple Panel customized to dark brown, but can also be used as a "window" when customizing any Retro transportation stop. If used as a window, it works best with the Damaged Retro transportation stop. 

The light glass door (MO-VCWQ-3PHR-MM2Q) can also be used with the Simple Panel customized to dark brown if used next to the window grills. But it can also be used with the light gray or gray Simple Panel. The light versions of the window grills and door are suitable for general buildings, such as apartment buildings and general stores.

The storm drain (MO-QDJ9-KSBB-JKB9) can be used along side the drain cover 1 (MO-PTYC-896B-VRWQ) and drain cover 2 (MO-MXQB-4401-Y400) with the stone path within the Island Designer app, or the arched tile path. 

Simple Building - Spa (dark version)

The Blue tile roof (MO-81WX-Y5XR-BRMC) is used to customize the Stall (dark brown). It pairs well with the Retro transportation stop, especially customized to Gray but works well with Blue too. It has a similar color scheme to the Zen fence customized to blue or gray. 

The window grills, dark glass version (MO-59Q1-8BG3-KGLB) works best with the Simple Panel customized to dark brown, but can also be used as a "window" when customizing any Retro transportation stop. If used as a window, it works best with the Damaged Retro transportation stop. 

The dark glass door (MO-0KJN-26W1-CH7R) can also be used with the Simple Panel customized to dark brown if used next to the window grills. The dark versions of the window grills and door are suitable for buildings that may need more privacy, such as a Sauna or Pawn shop. 

The spa sign (MO-DHHV-B42G-015L) works best with the Standing electric sign, but can also be used with the Vertical banner. 

Simple Building - Rail road

The Brown tile roof (MO-JF8P-JXLX-50VC) is used to customize the Stall (dark brown). It pairs well with the Retro transportation stop, especially customized to Damaged. It has a similar color scheme to the Zen fence customized to beige. 

The Railroad has two parts - top (MO-TGTK-2HJP-099B) and bottom (MO-Q8PV-NNVP-LS6L) and it runs horizontally. It has a damaged look which makes it suitable for an abandoned railroad or an old train station.
