Borei House Tours: Sann (Part 1)

The next house I completed was Sann's, which has a cafe, hair salon, bird spa, egg nursery, fruit shop, and his own room. The house is located on the far right side of the map near the campgrounds and ReTail. I have a habit of grouping "facility" or shop buildings near each other so it feels more like a small shop community. If only we could customise ReTail's exterior! Part 1 will cover his room, the cafe, and the salon as well as the exterior.

Exterior

Sann's house is remodelled to the Zen castle and has an arched zen door, zen exterior and mailbox, green tiled roof, and sculpted hedge. To the right of Sann's house is the campgrounds, which you can see in this picture. The rock that he is sitting on is actually a gem rock that I haven't hit because I thought it looked nice as a sitting area. Behind him is the windmill. Down the path next to the windmill leads to ReTail. One of the ponds (or the "ReTail pond") is right behind his house.

Right in front of his house is a small plaza with the statue fountain PWP. This circular area essentially separates the "forest" section of the town with the more developed side. If you go further down from here there are some villager houses as well as the bridge that goes into the enclosed community.

Cafe

The main room is the cafe. It has a purple/green theme that matches the flower colour scheme outside as well as his house exterior! Most of Sann's house (besides the bedroom) also follows a greenish purple colour scheme. I used a mix of the alpine series, natural series, and some other typical cafe items like the dessert case and food items. The alpine series are customised with my own pattern.

Sann in the entrance way. I spread out the seating areas so there's a group seater in the back and the two seaters in the front. I wanted an open hallway that lead straight to the back room so it's easier to walk around without it being too cramped.

Because there weren't many purple decoration items I used some homegrown flowers!

The Lily record player is in the back playing K.K. Bossa. There's also additional sounds coming from the bird cage in the corner. I still find it hilarious how there's bird villagers and actual birds / animals in the AC world.

Here's another angle. I love the tart cakes!

Hair Salon

The room to the right is the hair salon! I mainly wanted to make a salon because the salon RV furniture was so nice, so obviously I used a lot of those items in there. I also realised there were a lot of flashy bird NPCs and villagers so it would be fitting for them!

Here's the reception desk as soon as you walk in. There's a glass teapot for serving customers (and a tea cup on the serving tray). On the wall is a picture of Pelly! I just took a random clip art of her (and Pave) and converted it to a QR using this website. Sann's not thrilled about her picture there because she's quite a bitch. To the side of the reception desk is some jewellery to sell as well as a towel basket for the wash station which is to the right of the reception desk.

I customised the salon chairs to green to fit the green/purple theme. The wallpaper is also made by me. I wanted to use the weeding day's violet screen here as well but I thought using it again would be too much, so I opted for the ivy partion!

Between the two salon mirror stands is a fancy framed picture of Pave!

Here's a back view angle when sitting at the salon chairs. Behind him is the hair washing station with hydrangea beds! I had originally used the minimalist bed refurbished to moss green but I changed it to the hydrangea bed because it suited the bird theme more and the colours worked nicely with the purple! I used the bowl sink to mimic the sinks used in salons.

Another view of the salon chairs and washing station! I also put a changing room next to the beds.

Sann's Bedroom

Sann occupies the upstairs room. I wanted to make it look like a cozy studio apartment with a full kitchen. I used a lot of the Gracie Summer set in this room and blue/green furniture items.

The sleeping area is in one corner and blocked off from the kitchen by the rolling closet, which very conveniently has a back side that looks like a wall! I extended the "wall" with another modern wood closet. To add some personality and variation in sets I also put a black/red robo clock there.

The blue/greens in the Gracie set suit his colour scheme perfectly! I also refurbished the hanger rack to blue.

Here's the TV/living area with his game consoles!

View of the kitchen! I put some baking items there to show that he makes the pastries served in the cafe downstairs. His cafe uniform is also hanging on the wall.

There's also a mystery fried egg. Definitely not from the egg nursery.

The next post will feature the rest of the rooms in his house: the egg nursery, fruit shop, and bird spa.
